Registration Information

Online Registration for the 2016 Run for Peace closes promptly on Thursday (September 16th ) at 6:00pm

You will have two opportunities to Register for Run for Peace.

Saturday September 17th from 10:00am-3:00pm-Cost $50

Packet Pick Up

Packet Pick up for the 2016 Run is Saturday September 17th from 10:00am-3:00pm

You can also pick up your packet on race day from 7:00am to 8:00am. However, it is strongly recommended to pick up your packet at MVCC Saturday (9.17) from 10-3p to avoid long lines.

Team Palestine needs volunteers for Run for Peace on Sunday 9.17.16.
We will be holding a volunteer check in meeting Friday 9.16.16 at 6:00pm.

You must attend meeting in order to volunteer for event. Food will also be served at meeting.

Course Description for 5k Run

The 2016 Run for Peace will start in between the C and D building

at Moraine Valley Community College at 8:30am.

The first portion of the race will be on MVCC with most of the route going on the streets of Palos Hills. Here is a brief description.

Start between C and D Building

The first half-mile will be on the MVCC Campus.

When you pass the half mile marker-All runners will head out to 111th street heading west (right) followed by

Turn right on Kean Ave

Turn right on 107th street

Turn right on 88th Ave

Turn right on 111th street

Turn right into MVCC and head about a half mile into the finish line.

Course Description for one-mile walk.

The entire one-mile walk will take place the grounds of Moraine Valley Community College. The course will be marked and there will also be volunteers along the course to guide all walkers to the finish line


Run for peace is chip-timed event. Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each category and to the overall female and male champions
